A local Church on the eastern coast of Mindanao
The Diocese of Tandag covers the whole province of Surigao del Sur, from Carrascal in the north to Lingig in the south. The Gospel first reached these shores in 1622 with the Augustinian Recollects. Today the faith is lived in parishes, chapels and small Christian communities in every town.
